I work mainly in print, photography and sculpture. My work is often inspired by graffiti culture, Mexican heritage and art history. I'm interested in taking inspiration from "low art" or "lowbrow" culture such as graffiti and creating works presented as high art.
Erik Salgado is a Chicago based interdisciplinary artist. Born from Mexican parents and raised in Chicago, Erik grew an interest in graffiti and hip hop culture both themes often seen his work.
